Responsibilities

Create and enhance automated test suites for end-to-end, regression, acceptance, 508 compliance, performance, and scalability testing.
Use WebdriverIO, Axe, Allure, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and similar automated testing frameworks.
Test cloud-based backend applications and microservices for NOAA’s financial management data systems.
Leverage AI tooling to enhance and maintain automated test scripts.
Work with distributed software development teams and interact with customer stakeholders.
Support automated testing and performance evaluation strategies in CI/CD environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3-5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
Experience with WebDriverIO, Cypress, or an equivalent end-to-end QA automation tool.
Experience in large-scale software testing and verification environments.
Experience with automated 508 compliance testing using tools such as Axe or Cypress and reporting tools such as Allure.
Experience with web-based frameworks such as React and with automated performance evaluation for microservices.
Understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures, with exposure to AWS, CodeBuild, CloudFormation, Node.js, Linux/WSL, and CI/CD environments.
Experience leveraging AI tooling to enhance automated test scripts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, collaboration, and customer-prioritization skills.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Experience with Federal Government Data Science and prior NOAA experience are highly desired.
Preferred experience includes assessing business and technical needs with potential customers and internal teams, design for testability, application security, and data security.
