Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices in Java with Javalin and Go, including Backend-for-Frontend services for React applications.
- Design and evolve workflows for uploading, storing, editing, processing, and generating listing images.
- Use generative AI assistants and tools to generate code, analyze errors, review pull requests, document work, and test solutions.
- Ensure service quality, resilience, and observability through scalable APIs, automated testing, event tracing, alerts, and metrics.
- Lead initiatives end to end, from analysis through production follow-up, while coordinating impacts with other teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend development with Java.
- Knowledge of application architecture, relational and non-relational databases, API design and integration, asynchronous messaging, queues, jobs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with engineering best practices and intensive use of coding assistants and AI tools, validating their suggestions before production use.
- Experience with Git and monitoring tools such as Datadog or New Relic.
- Knowledge of Javalin or Spring Boot, Go or Node.js, frontend development with React, multimedia content processing, business reporting and metrics, or TDD/SDD is valued.
