Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code for Google Cloud Storage.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select technologies.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, service operations, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using C++.
- At least 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or storage architecture.
- Experience developing solutions on cloud computing platforms or building SaaS products.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building or modeling large-scale distributed storage systems or I/O-intensive applications.
- Preferred: experience delivering performance, scalability, or reliability improvements in distributed environments.
