Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Build scalable, secure, high-performance backend services for business-critical and high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Develop cloud-native solutions for compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and security services.
- Design distributed systems, service integration patterns, and event-driven architectures for availability, resiliency, and scalability.
- Develop RESTful APIs and asynchronous integrations using Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hub.
- Apply object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, and clean coding standards.
- Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Optimize application performance through code tuning, caching, database optimization, and resource management.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering governance activities.
- Implement logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and application performance monitoring capabilities.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for reliable releases and automated deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system stability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in enterprise software development with strong hands-on Java application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8, Java 11, or Java 17 and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
- Extensive experience designing and developing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, API gateway patterns, service discovery, resiliency patterns, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Knowledge of Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hub.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and platforms such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience implementing automated testing with JUnit, Mockito, API testing tools, and software quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or Azure Application Insights.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, secure coding, communication, and problem-solving skills.
