Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, integrations, and enterprise ITSM and ITOM capabilities.
  • Administer and sustain the on-premises or self-hosted ServiceNow instance for performance, compliance, and availability.
  • Implement and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and Employee Center functionality.
  • Develop custom applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Workflow Studio logic.
  • Manage data imports, transformations, REST/SOAP integrations, LDAP connections, and other data exchange mechanisms.
  • Apply CSDM principles to maintain accurate service mappings and CMDB relationships.
  • Support DoD security and accreditation requirements in coordination with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.
  • Support patching, upgrades, release deployments, impact analyses, architectural reviews, documentation, and Tier 3 technical issue resolution.
  • Participate in Agile sprints, backlog grooming, technical design sessions, stakeholder collaboration, and ServiceNow platform improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, or Top Secret clearance with the ability to acquire SCI.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in software design, development, or enterprise platform engineering.
  • At least 3 years of ServiceNow platform administration, maintenance, and development experience, including Glide scripting, Workflow Studio, UI customization, and integrations.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, Jelly, and CSS.
  • Experience with LDAP, SSO, and REST/SOAP web service integrations.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and ServiceNow governance principles.
  • Ability to perform operational sustainment and full-stack development within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
  • High school diploma required; an associate degree in an IT-related field or higher is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and an 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certification before starting.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, normally Monday through Friday, with overtime during critical periods and 5–10% travel primarily within 75 miles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ITIL 4 Foundation/Master, and DoD or government IT service management experience.
