Base Salary
$104k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build multi-tenant backend services on public cloud platforms.
- Architect, develop, and consume APIs, backend services, microservices, and service-to-service communication patterns.
- Develop Python backend components, APIs, automation logic, and platform-level services.
- Design and implement user interfaces and reusable TypeScript front-end components using modern web development practices and Vite.
- Design software systems from business requirements and translate functional needs into technical specifications.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including RBAC and ABAC.
- Investigate and resolve production issues using structured diagnostic and troubleshooting methods.
- Work with MBSE and Test teams to align requirements, models, and implementation.
- Present technical designs and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Support customer and partner integration activities and solve technical challenges involving secure, scalable satellite communications infrastructure.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with 8+ years, or master's degree with 6+ years, or doctoral degree with 3+ years; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and maintain the clearance.
- Proficiency in Python development for backend systems and APIs.
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases using SQL, triggers, functions, and stored procedures, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience with authentication and authorization, including RBAC, ABAC, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.
- Experience developing microservices and backend service architectures.
- Proficiency with TypeScript and modern front-end development using Vite, component-based architecture, state management, routing, and responsive design.
- Experience with Git-based source control, GitHub, structured code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and automated test workflows.
- Working knowledge of PKI concepts and asynchronous messaging architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kafka, Unix shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience applying Zero Trust software development principles and resolving production issues in operational environments.
- Ability to collaborate with MBSE and Test engineering teams, present technical designs, engage end-users, and learn evolving tools and frameworks.
