Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated and performance tests for software products and services.
- Collaborate with product, project management, engineering, operations, QA, technical, and subject matter expert teams to plan and execute testing.
- Align testing with requirements and quality standards while conducting project reviews and implementing quality control procedures.
- Report testing results and issues, research root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Research tools and implement automation solutions and cost-effective improvements to testing capabilities.
- Investigate and resolve performance issues with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Improve test planning, execution, defect tracking, metrics reporting, and broader QA processes.
- Maintain testing documentation and record-retention frameworks to support audits and changing priorities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of QA Test Engineering experience and a BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and solid QA testing skills with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber BDD; familiarity with the Karate Test Automation Framework is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman and experience with GitHub pipelines.
- Proven ability to develop and execute automated and performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and process improvement practices.
- Strong project management, research, root cause analysis, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of working within budgets and awareness of industry trends.
