Base Salary
$72k - $99k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and debug embedded software and firmware components with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Participate in coding, testing, debugging, documentation, software verification, and validation activities.
- Integrate software with hardware systems and embedded platforms and support troubleshooting throughout the development cycle.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, applications, and product engineering teams.
- Contribute to software design discussions, technical documentation, and code reviews.
Requirements
- Knowledge of software development fundamentals and programming concepts.
- Experience with C and/or C++ through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience.
- Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or hardware-software interaction.
- Familiarity with debugging tools, problem-solving techniques, and version control systems such as Git.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in embedded software, firmware, or related engineering disciplines.
- Exposure to firmware, low-level programming, software testing, validation, debugging methodologies, embedded development tools, IDEs, or compilers.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
- Academic, internship, or personal project experience involving embedded systems, electronics, or software-hardware integration.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

- Expected wage range is $71,989 to $99,006, with eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

- The position requires travel 10% of the time.
