Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance services and APIs.
- Develop applications in Go and Python on a modern cloud-focused platform.
- Build and maintain services using AWS products including Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3, as well as GCP products.
- Deliver production-ready code from start to finish with attention to performance, scale, security, and cloud scalability.
- Review code and improve software engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot application diagnostics and production issues using monitoring and logging tools.
- Troubleshoot regression tests across different environments and design new product solutions and feature improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation requiring night and weekend work.
- Evaluate new technologies and collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, research scientists, and product managers.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing highly scalable cloud-based APIs.
- Experience with multiple programming languages, including Python and Go.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
- At least 2 years of DevOps experience supporting deployment of SaaS services.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing applications in multi-container environments such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of data storage technologies such as Redis and MySQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Experience developing and maintaining services using AWS Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Linux proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proven ability to provide stable, secure production code and contribute with minimal supervision.
