Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, high-performance microservices using Scala with Akka or Pekko.
Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven systems using Kafka and Akka Streams.
Maintain and enhance existing services and contribute to performance tuning.
Write clean, maintainable, reliable, observable, and testable code, including unit tests.
Participate in continuous integration and agile software development practices.

Four years of software development experience.
Experience with Scala and functional programming principles.
Experience with Akka HTTP, Akka Streams, Pekko HTTP, or Pekko Streams.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON; GraphQL knowledge is optional.
Proficiency with Scala-based JSON libraries such as spray-json or play-json.
Experience with Kafka, gRPC, or other messaging and eventing systems.
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
Experience with Agile development using Scrum or Kanban.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Familiarity with telecom BSS platforms and catalog management, order handling, or customer management is a strong advantage.
