Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated UI, API, end-to-end, integration, and contract test suites using Playwright.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
- Manage test execution, reporting, traceability, and defects with JIRA, Xray, and TestRail.
- Maintain automation code with Git and support environment configuration for consistent test execution.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Improve automation reliability, execution performance, maintainability, and scalability through refactoring and optimization.
- Contribute to test strategy, automation standards, reporting practices, and requirements-to-test traceability.
- Implement API authentication setup, response verification, and chained API/UI test flows.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in test automation engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch or through major enhancements.
- Hands-on expertise with Playwright for end-to-end test automation.
- Practical experience with CI/CD and GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
- Experience with JIRA, Xray, and TestRail for test management and defect tracking.
- Strong understanding of test strategies, automation best practices, and reporting.
- Preferred experience with REST API automation, integration testing, test data management, stubbing, and mocking.
- Preferred exposure to Docker, containerized test execution, cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, parallel test execution, and test optimization.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS, Azure, performance or non-functional testing, microservices architectures, and BDD frameworks.
