Responsibilities
- Manage designated technology application portfolios, including reengineering, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, monitoring, and administration.
- Provide analysis, architectural design, and technical leadership for small, medium, and large complex projects.
- Collaborate with technical and business departments to define and meet requirements and targets.
- Follow and assist with management of internal IT processes and software development life cycle procedures.
- Support application and system development, including laboratory information management systems, specimen management systems, lab instrument interfaces, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to resolve break/fix tickets.
- Provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and expertise to peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or equivalent experience and training.
- Up to five years of successful application and system development and management experience, including database experience using the .NET Framework.
- Experience or preferred knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle.
- Preferred experience leading, developing, and administering LIMS, specimen management systems, lab instrument interfaces, ERP or CRM systems, and related software.
- Working knowledge of the HL7 standard and coding is preferred.
- Experience with STARLiMS, Harvest, Copia, Corepoint, GreatPlains, SalesForce, Carevoyant, and MS Project is preferred.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and applications and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and testing laboratory operations is a plus.
