Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and art teams to realize creative gameplay ambitions.
- Architect and coordinate implementation of gameplay systems and features for player verbs, cameras, weapons, and related systems.
- Adapt existing systems and build new technology in Unreal Engine 5.
- Identify technical and developmental risks and develop solutions to overcome them.
- Partner with design, engineering, animation, and audio teams to advance project goals.
- Stay current with technological developments and advancements in the game industry.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry or related experience.
- Previous experience contributing to a gameplay engineering team.
- Strong 3D math skills and C/C++ experience.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, debugging, problem-solving, code quality, documentation, and testing procedures.
- Experience with player-centric character, camera, and control systems.
- Current console experience.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with Unreal Engine technology is desired.
- Quebec-based candidates must be proficient in French and English.
