Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and art teams to realize creative gameplay goals.
- Architect and coordinate implementation of gameplay systems and features for player verbs, cameras, weapons, and related systems.
- Use Unreal Engine 5 to adapt existing systems and build new technology.
- Identify technical and development risks and develop solutions to overcome them.
- Partner with engineering, animation, audio, design, and art teams.
- Stay current with technological developments in the game industry.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry or related experience.
- Previous experience contributing to a gameplay engineering team.
- Strong 3D math skills and experience with C/C++.
- Strong familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with player-centric systems such as character, camera, and control systems.
- Current console experience.
- Familiarity with current Unreal Engine technology.
- Commitment to code quality, documentation, and sound testing procedures.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
- Quebec-based candidates must have professional proficiency in both French and English.
