Base Salary

$109k - $164k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software across the full development lifecycle for technology characterization, operator trials, demonstrations, and industry showcases.
  • Translate high-level system requirements and architecture into software designs and contribute to technical design reviews, architecture decisions, schedules, and risk analysis.
  • Perform on-target and off-target development and debugging to resolve functional, performance, and stability issues.
  • Optimize CPU utilization, latency, throughput, and timing constraints in real-time embedded systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design descriptions, architecture specifications, usage notes, and release notes.
  • Contribute to subsystem-level integration and testing while collaborating with system architects, baseband and RF software engineers, and test engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and object-oriented software design and development.
  • Understanding of multithreading and operating-system fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or two years of embedded software engineering experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with gdb, perf, and log analysis for root-cause investigation.
  • Preferred: experience analyzing and optimizing CPU utilization, latency, and throughput.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed systems, client-server architectures, cloud or edge computing, and end-to-end application development.
  • Preferred: knowledge of network protocols, wireless systems, QoS frameworks, 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11.
  • Preferred: willingness to adopt productivity-enhancement tools and processes, including AI-based tools.
