Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy, design discussions, system architecture, code reviews, and developer mentorship.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable Java backend microservices and React frontend interfaces.
- Support AWS infrastructure upgrades and testing in collaboration with the AWS team.
- Design secure, documented APIs and manage third-party and messaging-system integrations.
- Optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL data stores for performance, data protection, and schema modeling.
- Champion CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and application deployments.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and security stakeholders on technical solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience.
- Deep Java 11 knowledge, including garbage collection, streams, and concurrency.
- Strong experience with Dropwizard 1.3.x, including configuration, managed objects, and health checks.
- Deep proficiency with React 15.4, class components, lifecycle methods, and Flux or Redux architectures.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Jetty 11.
- Proficiency with Git, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Ability to debug complex legacy-framework issues and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Preferred: experience with JDBI or Hibernate in a Dropwizard environment.
- Preferred: knowledge of SASS or LESS compatible with older Webpack builds.
- Preferred: experience migrating legacy React applications to functional components and Hooks v16.8+.
- Preferred: understanding of microservices architecture and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
