Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and testing of large backend features and components.
- Design and develop distributed application services, scalable databases, APIs, and event-driven integrations.
- Build cloud services and resilient software platforms using Java, Go, GCP, messaging systems, and containerized infrastructure.
- Define API designs and documentation, including Swagger UI and Postman collections.
- Create unit, component, code-coverage, and API automation tests using Java and Go testing frameworks.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design and code reviews.
- Support build and deployment processes, observability, monitoring, diagnostics, security, and data privacy.
- Evaluate technologies that improve system performance and developer productivity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience focused on object-oriented programming and distributed microservices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java and Go.
- Experience with Spring Boot or Go language frameworks for microservices development.
- Expertise in SQL and big data query optimization, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub for event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing REST APIs and gRPC services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and massive horizontal scaling.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and GCP.
- Knowledge of Redis, SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions.
