
Senior Engineer - Compliance Technology

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and continuously improve real-time, high-throughput systems for monitoring orders and quotes across trading venues.
- Process large datasets and support market-making obligations.
- Automate compliance controls, detect prohibited trading behaviors, and generate or submit regulatory reports for multiple jurisdictions.
- Resolve production issues quickly to maintain uninterrupted market operations.
- Document architectures, processes, and changes for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Lead projects across Trading, Technology, and Operations and provide mentorship through code reviews and design evaluations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with real-time, latency-sensitive trading or financial-services systems using Java and Python.
- Experience designing and building scalable systems, high-performance data pipelines, and market-monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of market-making, trading operations, risk management, and applicable regulations.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring others through code review and evaluating design decisions.
- Preferred: experience with compliance or surveillance platforms, financial-regulation frameworks, operational-risk management tools, cloud-native architectures, or big-data technologies.
