Responsibilities
- Verify team analysis and implement changes to prevent recurring incidents.
- Resolve critical application alerts, production defects, and minor enhancements while assessing business impact.
- Maintain application knowledge articles and runbooks with development teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to answer application issues and escalate as needed.
- Validate and submit audit requests for information.
- Execute disaster recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages and provide business continuity evidence.
- Identify and implement automation to reduce manual application-monitoring effort.
- Provide development teams with input during application design and development.
- Execute pre-production and production code deployment plans and vendor application upgrades.
- Monitor and mitigate risk through day-to-day risk and control processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with relational databases including DB2, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Experience with monitoring and data tools including Splunk, DynaTrace, Thousand Eyes, Grafana, Selenium, and IBM Zolda.
- Experience with cloud technologies including AWS services, Azure, OpenShift, RDS Aurora, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as CA AutoSys and Control-M.
- Experience with middleware including Solace, Tomcat, Liberty Server, WebSphere, WebLogic, and JBoss.
- Experience with messaging queue systems including IBM MQ, Oracle AQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
- Experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, Shell, Perl, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools including Informatica Datahub/IDQ and Talend.
- Mainframe troubleshooting and support experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures, CICS, SPUFI, and File Aid.
- Mainframe scheduling experience involving job abends and predecessor/successor relationships.
