Base Salary
$44k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement generative AI applications using large language models.
- Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize neural networks for natural language processing and machine perception.
- Build backend functionality in Go or Python and produce production-ready code.
- Gather and prepare data, design custom layers, and automate model deployment.
- Improve model performance, scalability, and reliability for real-world production deployment.
- Collaborate with platform, security, release engineering, support, and other cross-functional teams.
- Apply robust testing and experiment with new technologies and AI techniques.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program with 2 years of work experience, or a Master's degree program with 0 years of work experience.
- The degree program must be in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected to continue enrollment in the degree program after completing the internship.
- Backend development skills in Go or Python demonstrated through an assessment, coding challenge, or code sample.
- Understanding of LLM infrastructure and optimization strategies.
- Practical experience with model building and AI or LLM tasks through a portfolio, code sample, technical evaluation, or academic/research project documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with vLLM, Triton, or TorchServe; knowledge of GPU architecture, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and optimization; familiarity with agent frameworks and cloud-native platforms; and exposure to secure, scalable AI deployment.
