Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform POS applications.
Perform complex Java programming, unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with business partners, architects, and technical teams to define requirements, priorities, designs, and estimates.
Manage system enhancements and processes while following architecture, coding, security, configuration management, and SDLC standards.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and analyze data needs, workflows, system interfaces, and outputs.
Support new business capabilities, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and integration with existing systems.
Coordinate development, testing, implementation, and documentation activities.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud applications.
Improve deployment and release processes with development and operations teams.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform security remediation.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of Java development experience; retail or insurance experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure API Gateway, Azure DevOps, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB.
Experience developing REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
Preferred experience with Kafka, Azure Event Hub, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Spring frameworks, JUnit, XML schema validation, Maven, Git, Apache HTTP Server, Azure monitoring tools, New Relic, Splunk, and Android development.
Strong teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to collaborate globally and work non-business hours when needed.
