Base Salary

$83k - $125k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software and other object-oriented software components for C2BMC Regional Applications.
  • Implement features, enhance existing capabilities, and resolve complex software problems in an Agile team environment.
  • Translate requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams into maintainable software designs and implementations.
  • Participate in analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, debugging, and defect resolution across development, integration, and operational environments.
  • Apply coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, automated build pipelines, configuration management, and version control practices.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, test, and operations teams to support reliable operational integration.
  • Analyze and optimize software performance, prepare technical documentation, support users, and contribute to process and tool improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 2 years of experience; or a related master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience; or 6 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
  • Current, active, in-scope government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application and required to start.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE or another object-oriented language; additional C++ experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, and version control.
  • Understanding of Use Cases, SysML diagrams, and their relationship to software design and implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs.
  • Preferred qualifications include Agile team experience, Linux-based enterprise application development, Windows experience, DevSecOps, build and release management, Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, Eclipse, complex distributed systems experience, and DoD, missile defense, command and control, or C2BMC experience.
