Base Salary

$174k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the AppReduce compiler team to evaluate Perfetto traces and improve compiler correctness, execution speed, and decision-making quality.
  • Formulate and execute long-term strategic goals with internal and external engineering teams building Android applications.
  • Architect infrastructure that lowers memory usage, reduces binary sizes, and optimizes Android application performance.
  • Investigate deep layers of the Android stack using diagnostic tools to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Solve technical problems through customer-centric development, collaborative feature design, and cross-functional work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and one year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience developing, debugging, or optimizing Android OS components and framework services.
  • Experience with compiler technologies, runtime systems, program analysis, or toolchain development.
  • Experience in systems programming using C++.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred experience includes data structures and algorithms, compiler optimizations, LLVM, Java bytecode, Android development, kernel development, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, security software development, test automation, refactoring, build infrastructure, debugging, tools, and testing frameworks.

Benefits

  • US base pay is listed at $174000-$252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
