Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deliver, and maintain end-user Webex features used globally.
- Own architectural decisions and communicate scalable, maintainable designs aligned with platform strategy.
- Translate complex product requirements into technical designs and executable work plans.
- Set high standards for code quality, testing, reliability, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product managers and designers to influence roadmap decisions and balance customer value with technical sustainability.
- Investigate CSAT, NPS, customer feedback, and product metrics to identify root causes and lead improvements.
- Champion effective use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-grade software in complex environments.
- Experience contributing significantly to architecture and design discussions, influencing technical direction, and driving alignment across teams.
- Deep programming and system design expertise with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make sound technical decisions.
- Ability to apply structured, scientific, and creative approaches to complex technical and product challenges.
- Strong communication skills with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders at varying levels.
- Strong commitment to quality, including test strategy, code reviews, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred experience with Modern C++, Swift, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Preferred experience with Qt, Cocoa, React, Angular, or similar UI frameworks.
- Preferred backend experience with Java Spring, WebSockets, distributed systems, and API design.
- Experience contributing to or owning architecture for large-scale, customer-facing applications.
- Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, contract, and automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development using LLM-based tools for design exploration, scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and developer productivity.
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Experience optimizing applications across Windows, macOS, Linux, and Web platforms and ecosystems.
Benefits
- Starting base salary range is €40,900.00 to €57,900.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
- Employees in non-sales roles may be eligible for annual bonuses subject to Cisco policies.
