
Senior Lead Software Engineer, Java, Equities Prime - Securities Lending Technology

- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure production software solutions.
- Create user interfaces and interactive features for web applications.
- Build microservices, distributed systems, RESTful web services, and enterprise-scale high-volume data-processing applications.
- Improve operational stability by automating recurring issue remediation and applying production management practices.
- Lead architectural evaluation sessions and communities of practice across Software Engineering.
- Drive adoption, governance, validation, and reuse of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across development workflows.
- Coach senior engineers and leads on responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI-assisted software development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 12+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, Java, Spring Boot, Python, microservices, cloud technologies, distributed systems, web technologies, and SQL databases such as Oracle.
- Advanced proficiency with front-end languages and libraries such as C# and React, and back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring, and Python.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle, automation, continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Experience with JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Preferred experience includes large corporate environments, AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification, financial services IT systems, and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
