Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AI-native application systems and components across the autonomous compliance pipeline.
- Build and own evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for AI quality, reliability, and performance.
- Implement human-validation gates that keep compliance experts in control of generated outputs.
- Produce and curate grounded knowledge for SAP Business AI agents, ensuring reliable and traceable compliance answers and actions.
- Optimize latency, throughput, scalability, endurance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Improve observability and SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Partner with platform, data, and AI teams on robust production solutions and system integration.
- Provide end-to-end technical ownership, mentor engineers, and guide design and code quality.
Requirements
- Deep experience with distributed systems and scalable application design.
- Hands-on expertise with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows.
- Experience designing systems for scale, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with performance optimization, cost management, and troubleshooting complex production systems.
- Knowledge of SRE principles, observability, and incident management.
- Experience designing AI evaluation frameworks and validating model behavior.
- Experience applying agentic engineering patterns and providing technical mentoring or management.
- Knowledge of application security, cloud architecture, semantic retrieval, high-availability engineering, and evaluation and benchmarking engineering.
- Knowledge of e-invoicing or EDI document formats such as XML, JSON, and Peppol BIS is preferred but not required, or the ability to learn domain-specific formats quickly.
