Responsibilities
- Define the microservices decomposition strategy, domain and service boundaries, and technical roadmap for migrating from .NET Framework to modern .NET.
- Architect Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment topology on Linux and Google Cloud Platform, including networking, scaling, and service mesh considerations.
- Define API contracts, inter-service communication, data ownership boundaries, observability, security, and GitLab CI/CD standards.
- Produce architecture specifications, proofs of concept, technology estimates, and lead architecture and design reviews.
- Mentor Lead and Senior Engineers and collaborate with UI and frontend teams to ensure interoperability and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of enterprise product development or architecture experience.
- Expert knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET, with hands-on experience modernizing large enterprise applications.
- Strong experience designing microservices architectures and decomposing monoliths using Domain-Driven Design and architectural patterns.
- Expert experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets, on Linux.
- Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, Google Cloud Platform, and messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Strong experience with REST and gRPC API design, security, performance, and enterprise-scale systems.
- Preferred experience with Istio or Linkerd, AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, content management and Capture domains, or OpenText products.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
