Responsibilities
- Build performant, reusable web applications and UI components with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Develop responsive, low-latency web interfaces for desktop and mobile browsers.
- Implement and maintain backend services and APIs that serve web application data.
- Design client-server contracts using HTTP, GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to align delivered features with product goals.
- Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot live production systems to support uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and participate reliably in meetings.
- Work from the Mexico City hub 3 days per week.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack web development experience in a technology or gaming company.
- Production-proven experience with TypeScript, React, and framework architectures such as Next.js.
- Practical experience with HTTP, GraphQL, and gRPC for querying data and managing network communication.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants while maintaining standards for safety, architecture, and reliability.
- Experience working independently on ambiguous challenges and breaking goals into concrete tasks.
- Experience collaborating on cross-functional teams and communicating effectively in writing and verbally.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Frontend quality experience involving performance profiling, Core Web Vitals optimization, and test coverage is a bonus.
- Experience with cloud services such as GCP is a bonus.
- A passion for Pokémon GO and understanding of social or gaming web products are bonuses.
