Responsibilities
- Develop sophisticated software with minimal supervision and maintain product quality and maintainability.
- Identify risks, roadblocks, improvement opportunities, and viable technical solutions.
- Contribute to system design, advanced refactoring, debugging, code reviews, technical documentation, and release preparation.
- Design and build JSON and REST services, produce API documentation, and support secure API design practices.
- Partner with product and analytics teams to drive requirements.
- Onboard, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to junior developers and other team members.
- Lead small to moderate projects or supervise others when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years’ experience.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Hands-on experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience with OS X, Linux, Spring, AWS, SQL, NoSQL, Git, Docker or other containers, and large-scale or distributed web applications.
- Experience designing and building JSON or REST services and working with third-party APIs and AWS APIs.
- Experience with functional testing, Test Driven Development, and agile application development lifecycles.
- Extensive understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, RESTful API design, and API security.
- Intermediate knowledge of React Native, React, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Extensive knowledge of npm package and webpack lifecycles.
- Experience with iOS and Android development.
- Understanding of OWASP and experience working in Scrum and DevOps environments.
- Project leadership, mentoring, communication, and advanced debugging experience.
