Responsibilities
- Investigate severe incidents, recurring problems, and complex application issues in critical production environments.
- Analyze logs, code, databases, and integrations to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.
- Support releases, upgrades, emergency changes, automation, monitoring, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders on service operations and improvement.
- Contribute to incident reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in 24/7 support and travel for on-site work when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level academic degree in engineering, IT, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Experience with customer support or incident handling, end-to-end troubleshooting, and rapid risk assessment in critical production environments.
- Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, containers, and virtualization.
- Experience with SaaS cloud delivery in AWS or Azure environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and familiarity with GitOps or equivalent approaches.
- Familiarity with Bash, JavaScript/TypeScript, Terraform, Ansible, Python, or equivalent programming.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL programming.
- Familiarity with networking, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, storage, certificates, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as GPT and KIRO.
- Strong English communication, ownership, collaboration, mentoring, and knowledge-transfer skills.
- Familiarity with Java EE, OSGi, or similar frameworks is preferred.
- Knowledge of secure coding, vulnerability management, ITIL/eTOM, compliance, and audit requirements is preferred.
- Oracle database experience and experience running banking or financial systems are preferred.
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 support and travel for on-site work when required.
