Responsibilities
- Develop AI solutions end to end, from idea design and proof of concept through production deployment.
- Prototype and build generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning applications for risk management workflows.
- Work with business users to understand needs, translate use cases into technical problems, and iterate based on feedback.
- Build practical business applications rather than conducting pure research.
- Learn and share knowledge about advances in AI and related technologies.
- Present technical solutions and project updates to technical colleagues and senior management.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience prototyping GenAI applications with foundational LLMs, transformer models, prompt engineering, relevant frameworks, and vector databases.
- Hands-on experience developing modular, robust, and scalable software in Python 3.x.
- Knowledge of modular retrieval-augmented generation and agentic systems.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, code reviews, and version control.
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing techniques.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to advances in machine learning, deep learning, and GenAI.
- Strong logical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of embedding model fine-tuning, Model Context Protocol, and LLM performance evaluation is an asset.
- Experience deploying GenAI applications in production and supporting enterprise-scale use cases is an asset.
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers is an asset.
- Experience in regulated or governed environments and familiarity with financial risk management concepts are assets.
