$194k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction and architecture of scalable microservices.
- Design and implement Java, JavaScript, and React features in a cloud-based SaaS environment.
- Develop and maintain AWS-deployed services using CloudFormation, ECS, RDS, S3, EC2, and Lambda.
- Establish unit, integration, and API test automation strategies.
- Lead and mentor engineers developing shared services and a centralized reporting framework.
- Investigate defects, remediate technical debt, and improve reliability and maintainability.
- Establish monitoring and logging frameworks and participate in production incident resolution.
- Manage build and deployment pipelines using Maven and Jenkins.
- Design and optimize relational and non-relational data storage with MySQL and Couchbase.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure system connectivity and compatibility.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus 60 months of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields plus 84 months of relevant experience.
- Experience in software engineering, software development, or application support engineering in a SaaS or cloud-based software environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with AWS, including CloudFormation, ECS, RDS, S3, EC2, and Lambda.
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, MySQL, Couchbase, DevOps tools, CI/CD, test automation, and full-stack software development.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively.
