Base Salary
$442k - $527k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software powering Roku’s content browse and discovery experiences on and off platform.
- Build, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot large-scale cloud services in AWS.
- Design low-latency services that operate reliably despite underlying failures.
- Select databases and design storage architectures across AWS regions.
- Optimize cloud costs while maintaining user experience.
- Design and operate in-memory caching layers using Redis, Redis Cluster, and Memcached.
- Monitor deployment quality and troubleshoot production systems.
- Understand end-to-end web architecture from end-user devices to datacenter services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of progressive experience in the position or a related occupation.
- At least one year of experience building large-scale cloud services in private or managed cloud providers.
- At least one year of experience selecting data stores and analyzing tradeoffs.
- At least one year of experience with in-memory caching layers for application performance.
- At least one year of experience monitoring deployment quality and troubleshooting production systems.
- At least one year of experience with end-to-end web architecture from end-user devices to datacenter services.
