Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, low-latency trading controls.
- Partner with technology, business, risk, external market, and quant teams to gather requirements and deliver trading functionality and market upgrades.
- Coordinate testing of new functionality, including business and e-trading risk signoff.
- Manage application upgrades and provide third-line support for the existing trading platform.
- Develop reusable components and services aligned with Citi’s technology strategy.
- Contribute to the trading platform architecture roadmap and future direction.
- Participate in the agile/Scrum development lifecycle and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience with core Java and demonstrated success developing multithreaded applications.
- Experience designing and developing high-performance, low-latency, multithreaded applications.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, object-oriented programming, clean code, and testable code.
- Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
- Experience with Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Gradle, TeamCity, and UrbanCode Deploy.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Artifactory, Docker, and OpenShift is desirable.
- Knowledge of fixed-income products, customer and broker market platforms, and trading protocols is desirable.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-management skills, including the ability to work with business and quant stakeholders.
