Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve platform performance.
- Provide incident response and on-call support for critical production incidents.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and the overall robustness of on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
- Troubleshoot, design, deploy, and manage changes to production Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with application development teams to onboard applications and optimize their performance on Kubernetes.
- Develop automation tools and workflows for Kubernetes configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
- Work with customer application developers and the infrastructure provider to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Apply cloud-native, container orchestration, GitOps, declarative configuration, and automation practices.
- Stay current with cloud-native and container orchestration best practices and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a cloud-native-focused environment.
- Proven experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and managing on-premises Kubernetes clusters in production.
- Proven experience with Linux system administration and networking concepts.
- Experience managing on-premises infrastructure and using containerization technologies.
- Experience applying GitOps, configuration as code, version-managed changes, and automated deployments.
- Proficiency with declarative approaches and automation using tools such as Jsonnet, ArgoCD, Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment and communicate effectively with customers.
- Kubernetes certification such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience with ITIL service processes.
- Knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes deployments.
- Datatekniker specialization in infrastructure, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related education.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance from the Danish authorities.
