Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion services and pipelines using Python.
- Develop and integrate with external REST APIs to process diverse data sources.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Evolve internal web services and APIs to expose data platform capabilities.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data access.
- Champion best practices for automation, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
- Contribute to data governance and quality frameworks.
- Explore new tools and technologies to enhance system performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Backend Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
- Experience designing and consuming web services and APIs.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform for cloud infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with automation principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
- Interest in high-performance compiled languages like Scala, Rust, or Go.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts.
- Proactive problem-solving and system improvement mindset.
