Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for high-impact real-time applications.
- Own feature architecture, break down workstreams, and guide implementation across the development lifecycle.
- Write high-performance, well-tested code and enforce standards for code quality, design patterns, testing, and system performance.
- Triage, debug, and resolve complex production issues while improving operational reliability.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business strategy.
- Mentor and coach engineers, lead code and design reviews, and guide technical direction and team roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
- At least 5 years of object-oriented backend development experience using C# or Java.
- Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and backend architecture.
- Experience architecting, building, and scaling distributed systems in AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated unit, integration, and performance test suites.
- Track record of mentoring engineers, leading code and design reviews, and making high-impact technical decisions across teams.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, code quality, and engineering best practices.
