Base Salary
$130k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed backend systems for AI-driven detection, monitoring, and response workflows
- Develop real-time pipelines for large volumes of video, audio, and sensor data
- Architect event-driven systems that automate alerts, verification, and escalation
- Build infrastructure for deploying and integrating large video and audio models into production
- Prototype and deploy new AI-powered capabilities
- Optimize systems for low latency, high availability, and reliability across cloud and edge environments
- Collaborate on end-to-end intelligent safety and automation systems
- Establish observability, testing, and continuous deployment practices for AI-integrated backend services
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale
- Experience designing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and scalable APIs
- Proven experience building large-scale, data-intensive, or AI-powered systems
- Experience with real-time data pipelines and high-throughput systems
- Familiarity with deploying or integrating machine learning models, particularly for video, audio, or multimodal applications
- Strong programming skills in Go or Python and experience with modern cloud infrastructure
- Experience with databases and streaming systems such as Kafka, Temporal, and Postgres
- Ability to prototype, experiment, and iterate in ambiguous problem spaces
- Experience delivering reliable, production-grade systems end-to-end
