Responsibilities
- Integrate cybersecurity practices into product design and development processes.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks.
- Perform threat modeling to analyze potential attack vectors and vulnerabilities.
- Handle vulnerabilities identified throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, CRA, and other relevant cybersecurity standards.
- Plan and execute cybersecurity assurance and validation activities.
- Implement system and product hardening using CIS Benchmark.
- Evaluate and recommend antivirus, application control, logging and monitoring, and intrusion detection solutions for control systems.
- Ensure cybersecurity solutions do not negatively impact system performance, availability, or reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, QA, and product teams to embed security into product architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of secure product development and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including the TCP/IP Model.
- Experience with risk assessment and risk management methodologies.
- Expertise in threat modeling techniques such as STRIDE and MITRE EMB3D.
- Understanding of industrial cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity testing and validation methods.
- Knowledge of system and application hardening best practices.
- Familiarity with antivirus, application control, logging and monitoring, and intrusion detection technologies.
- Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security.
- Ability to evaluate security solutions for performance, reliability, and compatibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying vulnerabilities and risks.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, QA, and product teams.
- Effective communication skills for translating cybersecurity concepts into actionable guidance.
