Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications for BASF’s Product Information Systems platform.
- Drive platform development and innovation based on user requirements, modern coding standards, security standards, and tooling standards.
- Integrate new services securely with the PIM landscape and existing backend systems.
- Troubleshoot, replicate, and resolve technical issues affecting operationalized solutions.
- Contribute to IT architecture and cross-process digitalization initiatives.
- Support operational support strategy, planning, execution, operations management, and application support.
- Collaborate with global development teams using agile methods, tools, and BASF-standardized processes.
Requirements
- A degree or comparable education in computer science, information science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an IT environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java development.
- Experience with Angular development.
- Confident use of SQL.
- Preferred experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies.
- Ability to support Level 2 or Level 3 application support, operations, and incident management.
- Experience with agile working or agile implementation approaches.
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and independent working skills.
- Experience working in global or virtual teams and projects.
- Passion for team-based programming and an entrepreneurial approach to fostering a positive culture.
