Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize scalable components of distributed systems and data-plane platforms for large-scale retrieval, storage, and processing.
- Develop performance, load, fault-injection, brown-out, correctness, replication, and synchronization testing.
- Build fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, and recovery-oriented design.
- Create alarms, dashboards, telemetry, alerting, runbooks, and operational procedures to detect and recover from failures.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, develop troubleshooting automation, and participate in incident response and root-cause investigations.
- Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, cloud compliance, documentation, and change-management practices.
- Track work with minimal supervision, collaborate across teams, prioritize changing work, and recommend process and workflow improvements.
