Responsibilities

Design, provision, maintain, and operate highly available on-premises and cloud infrastructure across bare-metal servers and Google Cloud.
Own infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines, machine-learning workflows, simulation environments, and platform services.
Define and improve SLOs, participate in on-call rotations, lead post-mortems, and drive systemic reliability improvements.
Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer across physical and virtual environments.
Implement infrastructure security controls including secrets management, RBAC, network segmentation, patch processes, and secure-by-default configurations.
Collaborate with software and robotics engineers to translate infrastructure requirements into durable solutions.
Build observability dashboards, define alerts, and support incident response across distributed hybrid infrastructure.

5+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, including production on-premises and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience provisioning and managing bare-metal server infrastructure at scale, such as metal-kubed, MAAS, or Digital Rebar.
Strong production experience with Kubernetes, including GKE, EKS, and self-hosted deployments.
Deep working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or AWS, including compute, networking, storage, Kubernetes, and cost management.
Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer for heterogeneous infrastructure environments.
Experience with observability platforms, dashboards, alerting, and incident response for distributed infrastructure.
Knowledge of secrets management, RBAC, service-account governance, and network-security practices.
Experience with CI/CD systems such as BuildKite and GitLab CI and artifact-management tools such as Artifactory and Nexus.
Proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, Bash, Rust, or C++.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate infrastructure concepts clearly to non-infrastructure stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes robotics infrastructure, telemetry ingestion, simulation pipelines, hardware-in-the-loop testing, hybrid-cloud modernization, and distributed-systems observability.
