Engineer III - FinOps Data Analytics (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Implement cloud cost monitoring, alerting, allocation, tagging, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Develop scripts, automation tools, cost data pipelines, guardrails, and automated policies for cost optimization.
- Integrate cloud billing APIs with internal systems and support FinOps tooling across product and platform groups.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cost-management systems, implement optimization recommendations, maintain data quality, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, research, and cross-functional FinOps initiatives.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; basic cloud infrastructure and services knowledge; and understanding of Docker, Git, monitoring, and observability concepts.
- Preferred qualifications include interest in FinOps Certified Practitioner certification, Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, databases and SQL, networking and security fundamentals, Grafana or Tableau, and cost optimization or resource management exposure.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, learning, and attention-to-detail skills, plus experience using AI technologies to improve workflows and business outcomes.
