Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction and modernization roadmap for Finance IT Data applications.
- Design and develop Python-based microservices, APIs, and event-driven solutions.
- Build scalable BigQuery and GCP data solutions with security, performance, and cost controls.
- Develop React-based micro-frontends and integrate them with backend services.
- Modernize legacy systems using cloud-native patterns, reusable components, automation, and incremental migration.
- Apply engineering standards across architecture, coding, testing, observability, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Use GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar AI tools responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Partner with engineering, product, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and measurable outcomes.
- Provide architectural input, colleague support, stakeholder engagement, and translation of business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-grade backend applications and microservices using Python.
- Strong knowledge of BigQuery and GCP services, including data modeling, performance optimization, security, and cost management.
- Experience modernizing complex or legacy systems using cloud-native architecture approaches.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, automated testing, observability, and secure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with React and micro-frontend architecture, including modular design and backend integration.
- Experience with engineering standards and GitHub workflows for version control, code review, and automated delivery.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.
- Ability to contribute technical leadership through architecture, colleague support, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable solution design.
