Base Salary
$158k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for Product Development solutions spanning AI/ML, data analytics, cloud, and engineer-facing interfaces.
- Establish reference architectures, design patterns, technology standards, build-versus-buy decisions, and governance-aligned solution designs.
- Design agentic systems with tool use, orchestration, multi-agent boundaries, human-in-the-loop controls, model routing, guardrails, and evaluation quality gates.
- Architect data ingestion, modeling, semantic layers, retrieval, analytics pipelines, data products, data quality, lineage, and permissions.
- Architect AWS and containerized solutions with deployment, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, reliability, latency, inference-cost, and cloud-spend considerations.
- Build full-stack applications including backend services, orchestration logic, APIs, data access, and user-facing interfaces across web, BI, Slack, Teams, and IDE surfaces.
- Partner with Product Development engineers to identify, scope, co-develop, and productionize solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Mentor the AI/Data Engineer and Platform/DevOps Engineer and provide technical direction to enterprise AI, data, cloud, and engineering organizations.
- Manage software developers and run skill-transfer sessions so engineering teams can extend and maintain delivered solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including production ownership of designed systems.
- Demonstrated solution architecture experience across multiple domains such as application, data, cloud, or AI, with end-to-end design ownership.
- Strong Python and SQL skills plus proficiency in React/TypeScript, Streamlit, or Gradio sufficient to independently ship usable internal tools.
- Experience building LLM-based applications with LangGraph, Langflow, or equivalent orchestration frameworks, including tool or function calling, MCP integrations, and RAG architectures.
- Hands-on data engineering and analytics experience with pipeline orchestration, warehouse or lakehouse platforms, and BI or visualization tools.
- Solid AWS experience with containerized workloads, Kubernetes/EKS, infrastructure-as-code, and cost-aware architecture.
- Working knowledge of evaluation methods for non-deterministic systems and experience measuring solution quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical direction to director and VP audiences.
- Ability to work on-site in San Jose, California, with regular embedded time alongside engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include production delivery of AI or analytics solutions at meaningful scale, semiconductor or storage product-development experience, engineering toolchain familiarity, design-system literacy, developer-facing product ownership, and enterprise AI platform or data-governance experience.

- The position is an exempt role based at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters, with a secondary Irvine office location; the posting requires on-site work in San Jose.
