Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for the Five9 Virtual Contact Center web application and APIs.
- Analyze test results and logs, investigate failures to root cause, and improve test reliability.
- Extend and support the Python automation framework and build internal tools that accelerate testing.
- Modernize the framework through CI/CD integration, parallel execution, stability improvements, and flaky-test reduction.
- Identify weaknesses in automated flows, correct them, and track their efficiency over time.
- Partner with Development, DevOps, and TechOps to align automation priorities with company strategy.
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, Increment planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation, including ownership of framework design or technical decisions.
- Hands-on experience with Python 3 and strong knowledge of programming techniques, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and multithreading.
- Experience automating APIs or SDK-type interfaces using Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.
- Strong Linux skills and knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Experience with Git and JIRA.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Selenium, pytest, Robot Framework, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, WebRTC, SIP, or CTI.
- Experience mentoring other engineers is preferred.
