Responsibilities
- Develop core payment-terminal business logic in Kotlin for Android and Linux-based terminals and backend systems.
- Implement support for card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, QR-code payments, and communication with the Adyen backend.
- Integrate payment terminals with cash registers using modern standards.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain secure and sustainable features.
- Use automated unit, integration, and complete product testing to deliver stable functionality.
- Propose platform improvements, contribute to technical strategy, and mentor and grow other engineers.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience writing Kotlin code.
- At least eight years of experience building software for the Android platform.
- Experience developing enterprise-level SDKs and libraries used by other engineers.
- Expert knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Gradle, and dependency injection.
- Experience owning features from design and implementation through deployment and maintenance.
- Experience writing and maintaining comprehensive automated unit and integration tests.
- Ability and willingness to mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and debugging.
- Strong technical, creative problem-solving, accountability, collaboration, and English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, C, C++, Python, EMV, ISO8583, payment-card systems, security best practices, and the payments industry.
