Responsibilities
- Validate quality across signage components including content repositories, design, scheduling, integrations, deployment, player performance, reporting, and analytics.
- Troubleshoot AWS systems using CloudWatch, DynamoDB, MySQL, IoT Core, S3, and CloudFront and contribute to resolutions.
- Define test strategies, plans, automated quality gates, regression suites, and evaluation-style checks.
- Build and maintain automation across API/service, data validation, and UI testing layers.
- Conduct performance, scalability, resilience, security, exploratory, and risk-based testing.
- Use production telemetry, customer workflow data, observability signals, and CI/CD feedback to prioritize testing and identify quality risks.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to create testable acceptance criteria and whole-team quality practices.
- Coach teammates and help pilot AI-assisted workflows for test generation, defect triage, documentation, code review, and delivery reporting.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Hands-on experience testing complex SaaS platforms, distributed systems, APIs, data workflows, and user-facing products.
- Experience with AWS services, GitLab or an equivalent CI/CD platform, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API/service testing.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java or TypeScript.
- Experience contributing to automated testing frameworks for API/service and data validation.
- Experience with Playwright for API and UI testing; Selenium-based framework experience is helpful.
- Experience with load and performance testing and with establishing whole-team quality strategies.
- Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, CodeRabbit, or GitLab Duo.
- Ability to review AI-generated tests, code, documentation, and analysis for correctness, maintainability, security, and customer fit.
- Preferred experience includes observability tools, containerized workloads, serverless patterns, infrastructure as code, analytics and visualization tools, synthetic test data, and community involvement.
