Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and deploy software, automation, and AI-assisted solutions for ASIC physical-build workflows, data visualization, report summarization, and checklist creation and review.
  • Develop AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflow automation to improve engineering productivity and design-team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Logic Design, Packaging, and Verification teams to implement automation, generative-AI, and AI-assisted design-flow opportunities.
  • Maintain AI-tool integrations and write supporting technical and usage documentation for the Physical Design team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD degree at an accredited university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with physical data structures and algorithms using Python.
  • Experience with software CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and generative AI or AI/ML techniques for automation.
  • Knowledge of ASIC CAD tools used in synthesis and place-and-route (PnR).

Benefits

  • Spring 2027 co-op runs from January through August 2027 and requires full-time onsite work, 40 hours per week, for the entire duration.
  • Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick leave, and medical insurance; internship positions are not eligible for retirement benefits.
