Base Salary
$190k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build state, history, permission, and event models for reliable and extensible Lapel primitives
- Design an extensibility model that gives customers power without creating an unstructured blank canvas
- Make primitives usable by people and agents through clean actions, histories, permissions, and memory surfaces
- Decide what should be a Lapel default, configurable, or fully custom
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend or software engineering experience
- Track record of designing systems that others build on top of
- Comfort designing APIs, data models, permissions, and backend abstractions
- Strong judgment about simplicity, flexibility, and clear product decisions
- Ability to translate product needs into thoughtful backend foundations
- Customer-focused, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with high ownership and autonomy
